Role: Asset Manager (one year secondment)

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

The role is responsible for overseeing the asset management process within IMOS to ensure optimal performance and value of assets, delivering value to our customers and establishing Thales as the Gold Standard in Asset Management with our Industry partners.

Team Engagement

  • Work with the function and project to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with management to align departmental strategies with the organization's overall goals.
  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to ensure departmental needs are met.

Performance Management

  • Maintain clear performance goals and metrics for the project, and track progress toward achieving these objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and best practices.
  • Implement asset management strategies and policies to maximize asset value and efficiency.
  • Analyse asset trends and operational performance to inform asset management decisions.
  • Monitor contract and individual performance, make recommendations for  adjustments as necessary.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular performance reports on asset management activities to senior management.
  • Conduct On Time Delivery analysis, risk assessments, resourcing reviews, performance assessments, forecasting related to asset performance and customer engagement reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align asset management initiatives with organizational objectives  and Industry standards driving towards Industry recognition of Gold Standard in Asset Management .
  • Communicate asset management policies and performance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in asset management operations.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize the performance of asset management practices.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing asset management practices.
  • Identify potential risks associated with asset management and develop mitigation strategies.

Experience and Skills

  • Excellent communication and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to solve problems and remain calm under pressure when responding to operational incidents and competing priorities
  • Experience of working and collaborating in a matrix environment
  • Excellent planning skills
  • GFE understanding and experience

Education and Qualifications

  • Experience in asset management, defense contracts or similar role.
  • Demonstrable commercial and contract knowledge
  • Strong understanding of the Supply Chain Process

Security Clearance statement

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions.  This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.  If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a Non-ITAR country may be considered.  Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.  In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
