Every year, Thales welcomes 3,500 interns and apprenticeship students throughout France and we encourage them to play an active role in our projects. They have the opportunity to take part in large-scale projects, sometimes with an international scope, in an innovative and technological environment.

Thales recruits apprenticeship students and interns at all levels of study (CAP/BEP to BAC+5 / first-level vocational to postgraduate level) and in all areas of the company.
The application periods are as follows :
  • Apprenticeship programmes: job postings are published in March and recruitment takes place until September for contracts lasting 12 to 36 months;
  • Internships : job postings are published in October and recruitment takes place until February for internships lasting 3 to 6 months;
  • Industrial internships :
    • Early-year internships (January/February) : recruitment in October/November,
    • Summer internships (June/August) : recruitment in January/February.
For us, these programmes are an opportunity to identify future talent. The Group is committed to hiring, developing and supporting young talent whenever possible.

VIE (International Internship Programme) at Thales

Every year, Thales offers around a hundred people the chance to gain international experience through the VIE programme. Talent is often spotted through an internship or apprenticeship within the Group, but vacancies are also advertised throughout the year on the careers site. VIE assignments give you the opportunity to experience Thales’ international activities for a duration of 6 to 24 months maximum.
