Why join us
At Thales, we prioritise the well-being and growth of our employees by offering a variety of benefits, including competitive compensation, flexible work arrangements, and professional development opportunities.

Parental leave

Our employees are entitled to up to 52 weeks' maternity leave. This is regardless of the number of hours you work and your length of service. We also have the option of shared parental leave which is designed to help you combine work with family life following the arrival of your new child. You can share the time in a flexible way that best suits your needs.

Volunteering

All Thales employees in the UK are entitled to take up to 24 hours a year for volunteering in addition to their annual leave entitlement. Volunteering at Thales has a wide reach and enables you to get involved with STEM education and outreach events, fundraising, community engagement and environmental support.

Employee assistance

This programme is a personal support service and is open to our employees and their family household members. It offers support via qualified and impartial counsellors on planned or unplanned life events from relationship matters to financial problems and psychological difficulties such as anxiety and depression.

Flexible working

Our flexible working policy involves rethinking how our people approach how, when and where they work. This provides a greater level of flexibility that caters to each individual’s needs, whilst helping to improve our business performance.

Learning & Development

We create environments for people to learn in a way that suits them best. Our Learning Management System – uLearn, provides access to thousands of top quality digital learning activities, both developed in house and through our partnership with Udemy.

Fertility & Menopause suport

Our programmes promote flexible working to attend appointments during working hours, and includes one weeks-worth of leave for all employees going through Fertility Treatment or preservation. These policies are designed to educate and create awareness around the impacts, symptoms, supportive behaviours and adjustments available.
