Careers  in India

Thales has proudly operated in India for over 70 years, continually expanding our footprint. Wherever we go and whatever we do, our people evolve and advance alongside us. At the heart of this journey is human intelligence, which underpins the robust growth in our three main markets of Aerospace, Defence, Cyber and Digital.

To enhance our ‘Make in India for India and for the world’ strategy and capitalise on the country’s exceptional talent pool, we have established two Engineering Competence Centres (ECC) in Noida and Bengaluru. This strategic initiative enables us to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the needs of our global customers while also making a positive impact on the local economy.

Software

Our software engineers play a crucial role in creating intelligent, secure, and reliable digital solutions for mission-critical systems. Whether it's for secure communications, complex air traffic management or embedded systems for aerospace and defence platforms, they build the digital backbone of advanced technologies.

Hardware

As the foundation of many of our innovative solutions, hardware engineers are responsible for designing and developing the physical technologies that support our secure, high-performance systems.   They ensure that Thales solutions adhere to the highest standards of reliability, precision, and efficiency.

System

Our systems engineers combine their software, hardware, and integration expertise to design complex systems that perform flawlessly in critical environments. They play a vital role in architecting, testing, and delivering multi-domain technologies from air defence and space systems to cybersecurity solutions.

Future talent

At Thales, we place strong emphasis on nurturing future talent through our internship programmes. In India, over 100 students join our company as interns every year. These internships serve as a vital stepping-stone to permanent employment, with a significant percentage of participants in our work-study and internship programmes being offered engineering positions on fixed or indefinite contracts each year.

During your internship at Thales, you will work on meaningful projects, gain insight into current market trends, and refine your technical skills, particularly in emerging technologies. Moreover, our internship programme provides an introduction to the corporate world, instilling professional ethics and preparing you for the industry. By participating in an internship, you could become an engineer well before graduation, facilitating a seamless transition into the workforce when you embark on a full-time career.
