Say HI* to Diversity, HI to Talent

Thales's  strong commitment to diversity and an inclusive corporate culture empowers every employee to be the best of themselves, to be respected for their differences and unique perspectives and to be recognized for their individual contribution to collective success.

This conviction is reflected in a proactive policy that promotes gender diversity, the inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community, the integration of people with disabilities, intergenerational diversity, cultural and social diversity and cognitive diversity.

At Thales, what unites us, is talent

Beyond appearance, origins, gender, or age, what matters are the skills, expertise, and interpersonal qualities of our people. At Thales, there are diverse paths and lifestyles, but we all come together around shared values: passion, commitment, and the desire to progress.

Sonarine

Sonarine, 27 years old, with his distinctive look and working-class background, now holds a leadership position as an IVVQ manager (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification). He says his success shows that "competence and perseverance transcend social origins" at Thales.

Alice

A few years ago, aerospace operative Alice undertook gender reassignment. Today, she feels confident thanks to the support she has received from her managers and colleagues, even if it hasn't always been easy for some of them. "Every day I come to work feeling valued and respected," she says.

Chabane

Chabane is visually impaired and worked for various non-profit organisations before joining Thales's Procurement team ten years ago. Using special equipment to do his job, Chabane believes his disability allows him to approach things from a different angle, which can often lead to innovations and improvements.

Laura

Laura, a Human Resources professional from the United Kingdom, created the Neurodiversity Employee Network at Thales with a co-worker in 2018. Affected by autism and attention deficit disorder herself, Laura received an award on behalf of Thales in recognition of the company's efforts to be a neuro-inclusive employer.

Ketankumar

A cloud engineer of Indian origin who now lives in France, Ketankumar appreciates the work-life balance at Thales and his daily contact with international teams, which he feels is a source of personal enrichment and collective success.

Mathieu

Managing a multi-million euro development project and a team of five, Mathieu enjoys the contrast between his hipster look (beard and long hair) and the rigorous approach his job requires.

Kumiko

Originally from Japan, Kumiko took advantage of the international mobility opportunities offered by the Group to move to France in 2017. Today, she supports the establishment of Service Centres for the International Developement Department.

Japhet

After what he perceives as a complicated start to his studies, Japhet embarked on a work-study programme at Thales. Three years later, he was hired full-time and is now an IVVQ engineer (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification) on a large-scale air navigation systems project.

Alexandra

Alexandra moved to France from the United States and now works as a standards analyst and cybersecurity trainer. She particularly appreciates how Thales values teamwork, integrates people from very different backgrounds and career paths, and has a less conventional approach than other companies she's worked for.

Michaelove

Supporting the sale of high-end equipment for fighter aircraft, Michaelove enjoys her flexible working hours which allows her to look after her family. Her management, keen to recognise the value of her work, financed her degree programme.

Xavier

Xavier joined Thales as a work-study student and now, at the age of 27, manages a team that delivers heads-up displays for fighter aircraft, proving that neither youth nor visible tattoos are an obstacle to success. His motto: "Be yourself. You can go far if you set your mind to it."

Ange

Ange arrived in France two years ago and is now a software licence manager. She particularly appreciates the support she's received from her managers to feel part of the team and develop her skills, as well as having the time she needs to look after her two young children.

Xavier

A Strategy and Marketing director in the aerospace sector, Xavier is a more seasoned employee and a passionate advocate of knowledge transfer, cross-functional cooperation and a caring management style that embraces diversity.

Renuka

Originally from India, Renuka joined Thales six years ago. She now lives in France with her family and manages several artificial intelligence projects. In addition to its open, collaborative work environment, Renuka appreciates Thales's efforts to promote women to leadership positions and reduce the gender pay gap.

Mohamed

Mohamed grew up in a working-class neighbourhood north of Paris and is now in charge of radio frequency testing on space programmes, playing a key role on a new generation of revolutionary telecom satellites.

Inès

At 27, Inès is an export sales manager in Thales's defence business. She has an atypical background as an elite athlete and former reservist in the French Navy, which she puts to good use in motivating her team to succeed.
